Since version 7.1, the Object Edit window for Equipment, Rooms, Machines, and Facility types has been expanded to include all previously hidden options in one unified window. Additionally, an Object history and a Start and Stop date feature have been added.
Expanded Object window
The new expanded Object window is available for the types/Categories:
- Suites/Workstations
- Equipment/Machines
- Facility
Note: Those types might be renamed in each client's database.
The new Object window is wider and now includes all options that were previously behind the Advanced button:
- Object Permissions (if activated)
- Member Of Object Classes
- Activities
- Accessories
With Object Permission:
Additionally, a new Start and Stop Date option has been added, allowing Users to specify the availability of the Object in the database. This is a visual option that will display the Maintenance icon on days before the start date and after the end date. It will not stop the User to book an equipment or warn about it. This is purely visual.
The Start And Stop Date can neither be exported nor imported through the Menu option > Import/Export farmerswife Objects Format CSV File. You can add the Start and Stop Date as columns to the Object Manager and export it from this menu.
The Object window now also features an Object History section that tracks the following actions:
- Created Object (if imported via a csv line this line won't show)
- Inventory Number
- Division
- Ref
- Inherit Rates And Activities From Object Class (shown as Rates)
- Rates (any change on any Rate will be shown)
- Groups
- Tax
- Day Rate
- Allow Multiple Check Outs (Virtual Object)
- Is Expected To Be Returned
- Active
- Icon
- Note
- Confirm Note
- Start And Stop Date
- Causes Conflict
- Inherit Accessories From Object Class
- Custom Field Template (shown as Customs)
- Custom Fields (shown with the label of the Custom Field)
- Check Outs
- Check Ins
These actions will be indicated with a pencil icon and the name of the modified field.
In the left bottom corner of the window you can see who created the Object with a time stamp, and who modified the Object.
If there are any Dispatches for this Object, it will also show inside of the history tab and it is possible to click on the Link so the Dispatch window opens. If lot of Check Ins and Check Out happened for this Object a clean overview of each Check In and Checkout is found here.
The link to any current Dispatch with its Status and Division will also show in the right bottom corner of the window. This link is clickable and will open the corresponding Dispatch.
